S.E.N.D

We are an inclusive setting and work closely with families with children with special educational needs (SEN), we have good links with agencies to ensure that our children receive the best support within the setting.

We devise individual educational plans (IEP), these ensure that children with additional needs acheive their unique outcomes. The IEP is devised by the child's keyperson and the Special Educational Need Co-Ordinator (SENCO) collaboratively, then these are discussed with parents and all staff members at regular staff meetings. 

In certain circumstances the setting provides enhanced staffing for children with SEN, depending on their needs.

Parents are regularly updated on their child's progress through formal and informal meetings.
The setting completes support plans for children and families with more complex needs and in some cases an Education, Health and Care Plan is completed, this supports children through transition to other settings.
